Amish-Mennonite Evangelism Network
Our mission for A.M.E.N IS to equipped and educate men and women in our fellowship with all the information that they need to effectively reach the Amish and Mennonite people with the Acts 2:38 message.
Our vision is to see hundreds of Amish churches baptized in Jesus name and filled the Holy Ghost.
We assist former Amish/Mennonite saints to find fellowship with an Apostolic Church and become a part of the family of God. Some who have experienced the Acts 2:38 message are left without family and friends; this ministry helps disciple new converts and ascertain that they find a safe, fulfilling place in the church. We train and equip former Amish and Mennonite people to effectively reach other Amish and Mennonite men and women. We educate and assist Apostolic’s who have friends among the Amish and Mennonites and are working to win them to Jesus.
Statistics & Demographics
Three hundred years ago, the Plain People began to migrate to North America. They left their homes and farms in Europe forever. This Anabaptist Nation is rich in history, often known by their more current names as the Amish and Mennonite. These people are typically very industrious. Honesty, integrity, and regard for others more than for themselves has made them great neighbors.
They may often be recognized by their plain clothes, straw hats, beards, bonnets, homes without electricity, but most popularly they are known for their mode of transportation, the horse drawn buggy. Their farmlands are among the most productive in the nation. The Amish are very devout in their faith. They take seriously the Biblical commands to separate themselves from the things of the world.
Today, Amish are found in over 250 settlements across 33 states. Three-fourths of the Amish live in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Indiana. Other large communities are found in Delaware, Iowa, Missouri, Michigan, Illinois, New York.
